The New York Times published an article recently that caught my eye- it used negative space in a really creative way to show social distancing.

This page is a recreation of that article, using the CSS property shape-outside. This property allows us to define how adjacent text should wrap around images. In this case I found these wonderful icons, created by illustrator Falak Mehta. You can see a photo of the original NYT article at the bottom of this page.
